Zeppole Baking Co

I have been going to Zeppole for about 20 years(Apple and downtown). Their lunch soup and sandwich used to be my go to quick lunch. The last 3 visits, their to-go pre-wrapped sandwiches are probably 2/3 the size, and 1/2 the content than the one shown in the case or how they used to be. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first 2 times, but after the 3rd time I think it is just the new norm. It feels dirty to display a sandwich, and get something far less. At $9.50, there are many better lunch options downtown. I will no longer be going here for lunch, but only to get bread or other speciality products.Edit*: haha. Removing another star as there was a long black hair in my tiny sandwich. Sad that this place has gone so far down.

The young girl that works there is so rude and should not be there. I will be sure to let people know not to go there. She has no customer service skills.

Even after having had sourdough in San Francisco, Zeppole's sourdough is still good. Great service, too.

Honestly this place didn't get a single order right or know what they're doing. I was reading the menu to the girl and she was clueless and not friendly at all. Do not recommend and won't be back.

Good food at great prices but sadly almost every time I try to go here the sandwich bar is closed! Their hours really don't reflect when they actually are serving food.

Delicious locally crafted bread and eats.

Great sandwich. Village loaf bread is amazing. Sandwich and soda for six bucks. Perfect for a nice light lunch.

LOVE the fresh, local breads. Their Banana bread and Zucchini bread is my favorite! Also great breakfast pastries and lunch fare.

Great lunch option for when you are downtown. They have soups, sandwiches, and baked goods. Nothing too fancy, but it all tastes great. The service was quick and friendly and you can feel good knowing that you are supporting local business.

Quite reasonable prices.

Zeppole is a fantastic place to get some fresh, local baked goods. The Village Round is simply the best bread they offer and I can never seem to find anything like it. They have other fantastic breads and such and I would consider them one of the best bakeries in Boise. My only suggestion for improvement would be personable customer service. I go in there almost every week and am hardly met with a smiling face or acknowledgement that they’ve ever met me before that transaction.

Good food at fast service. It gets busy around lunch time but nothing unreasonable.

Tasty sandwiches made on artisan baked bread. Good daily selection of homemade soups. Adjacent to Dawson Taylor coffee for your caffeine needs.

He desserts are absolutely beautiful although they look a little bit better than the test. That said, definitely a worthwhile fun treat… The place is usually really packed with undergraduate students, so I can get a little bit noisy if you were planning to hang out here to work (make sure you have a full charge, because the outlets are hard to find). The bubble tea is solid if a little bit pricey. Definitely come and hang out here on Halloween for a fun treat people watching.

People come here for the excellent foccacia, but my money is on the dense yet slightly crisp peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. I am going to say that these are the best PB cookies in Boise. Single cookies or a bag of 4 to share with friends out on the patio. Also, the service is great. Since my peanut butter cookie addiction has started, the same 2 employees have been nothing but friendly to me.

As other commenters have stated, the customer service has a long-standing tradition of rudeness. Otherwise, the product is great. Too bad.

The paninis, tuna and chicken sandwiches are my favorite with a sugar cookie. Very reasonable prices and fantastic for a quick lunch.
